Marky Mark Chapter 1, Verses 1-8: John the Baptist

Yo it’s about that time: the gospel about JC, the Son of G-Drizzle.

Yo, Izzy the Prophet made ya feel this rhythm:

“I’m gonna send my bro ahead of Ya,

who will break it down for Ya”

“speakin’ truth in the desert:

‘Get up and bumpin’ for the big DJ,

pump positive vibes for Him.’”

And so John spit rhymes, makin’ the people pure in the heat and bringing this hip-hop message of quitting their walk on the wildside. The people felt him. After they quit the wildside, he made them pure and drug free. John wore swag of camel’s hair, with a leather belt, and he ate bugs and honey. And he brought these rhymes straight:

“A more fly MC

is comin’ after me

whose kicks am I

not dope enough to untie

I make you pure

With my sweet rhymes.

He will show you

A spiritual time.”
